Abbey Carpets 'N' More established on March 17th, 1986 as a Floor Covering Retail Store, family owned and operated by Duane and Dee Johnson. The store was originally located at 315 West 3rd St, and in 1994 relocated to their current location at 208 West 3rd st, Downtown Grand Island.

At that time they became affliated with Abbey Carpets and became Abbey Carpets 'N' More, and expanded to a total line floor covering store including carpet, vinyl, tile, wood, cork, bamboo, laminate, area rugs and a full line of cleaning products. Then and now after more than 23 years Abbey Carpets 'N' More provides free measuring and estimates along with professional installation and decorating assistance.

Together Duane and Dee along with their son Thad offer over 65 years of floor covering experience and product knowledge. A member of the NE/IA Floor Covering Association, World Flooring Association and regular attending conferences, seminars and annual conventions, keeps them up on all trends and changes in the trade of Floor Covering. Abbey Carpets 'N' More offer national name brands such as Mohawk, Shaw, Beaulieu, Armstrong, Mannington and Congoleum.
